Existing Homes Are Selling At A Faster Pace In San Antonio

The real estate market, in the 35 biggest housing markets, is in an inventory crunch. Last year home buyers walked away with homes at a faster pace than prior years, according to a new report by the industry experts at Zillow. Before you start your home search during prime home buying season, here's what you need to know.

Buyers and sellers in San Antonio should be prepared for inventory to move quickly.  San Antonio homes on average stayed on the market for only 73 days. This means that they usually go under contract within the first 4 weeks on the market.

The Dallas real estate market was at an even faster pace. Homes in that area of Texas averaged only 55 days on the market. Much to everyone's surprise, the Austin real estate market was a little slower and Houston average the rest of the country.
